The Cottage Junk Co.
- a tale of two junkers

Rikki: - We bonded over a green
table, remember?

Cheryl: - How can I forget? As soon as
I saw that piece you had painted, I
knew we spoke the same language.
And even though I wasn't really doing
consignment much, I was glad to offer
your painted furniture and canvases at
the cottage.

Rikki: - I was so thrilled you liked it. In
my business, I was feeling confined,
having to paint according to the client's
wishes. My furniture was a way for me
to get to do whatever I wanted: a little
crackle, a little distress, some glaze...

Cheryl: - Of course you didn't know
me then, so you couldn't know about
my love affair with the color green.

Rikki: - But I know now. You - and your
Dixie Dog - were the inspiration for our
Cottage Junk Co. signature color.

Cheryl: - We got a little pink in there
for you and Callie though.

Rikki: - I know. A perfect combination.
Like us. Did you ever imagine we
would end up working together?

Cheryl: - Well, sure! I tried to hire you
to work at the cottage part-time,
remember?

Rikki: - I think I said something about
not being cut out for retail...

Cheryl: - And yet here we are.

Rikki: - And how sweet it is. We get to
go junking, play with tools, be
creative...

Cheryl: -...and share our cottage junk
at the First Monday Trade Days in
Canton, and here on our web site.

Rikki: - So what should we do next,
Cheryl?

Cheryl: - Well, Rikki, we've got two
storage sheds full of junk. I'm sure we
can find something to work our magic
on.

Rikki: - Oh, that reminds me! Wait till
you see what I've got in the trunk...
